Stacey Solomon’s nifty trick for making her stained cream sofa look brand new

Stacey Solomon is always sharing handy hacks and DIY projects with her fans.

The latest saw the 31-year-old Loose Women star explain how she managed to save her stained sofa for less than £30 – and it looks brand new.

Disgusted by the state of her cream couch after her baby son Rex and her dog Theo had covered it in mud and food stains, she took to her Instagram to share how she was going to rescue it.

Talking to her 4 million followers on her stories, the mum-of-three said: “I bought these sofa covers because my poor sofa is beyond repair.

“I’ve tried everything but nothing is gonna get these stains out so maybe I can cover it with these and it will look better.

“I don’t know why I’ve chosen cream it’s not practical but at least you can take them off and wash them.”

Stacey told her fans that she’d purchased the magic stretchable covers from Magic Sofa Cover for £29.99.

“This really wasn’t easy, the montages make it look easy but it’s taken me two hours to get it on,” she admitted.

But the hard work definitely paid off as the sofa looks brand new.

No more scrubbing necessary!

Stacey recently showed fans how she made a giant panel mirror for just £30.

Stacey purchased Ikea’s £1 Lonsas mirrors and £1.25 Yllevad frames in black, both of which are sized 21x30cm.

She then mounted the mirrors into the frames to make one giant mirror.

To create the mirror she used command strips to hang them up, a spirit level and a tape measure to make sure everything is in the correct place, as well as a pencil to mark the centre.

“I put a line in the middle then put two mirrors either side of the dot and worked from there…” she explained.

Stacey also applied a sticker from her sister’s brand The Label Lady, which reads “You Are Enough”.

Showing off the finished job, Stacey added: “I can’t tell you how happy this is making me. I can’t believe it. For £30 I’m soooo happy.”
