McDonald’s customer left in stitches after finding huge error with food order

A McDonald’s customer was left sorely disappointed after making an error on their order leading to a hilariously underwhelming meal.

The customer was making a late-night takeaway order to have food delivered to the house, and kindly offered to add in something to eat for their best friend’s girlfriend.

She added a burger to the takeaway but asked if it could be personalised on the app to ensure it was only a burger and cheese, and to remove any other extras such as sauce or gherkins.

Unfortunately, they got a bit too carried away with the tick boxes and ended up removing a few more items than they intended.

When the order arrived and the box was opened, they realised they had also removed the burger and bun from the order, leaving nothing but a two sad slices of cheese in a cardboard box, which you can see by scrolling through the slideshow of pictures above.

They explained: “I’d clicked all the boxes saying no bun no burger no anything BUT I managed to put extra cheese. Therefore her order was two slices of cheese in a box.

“I was so embarrassed BUT the story doesn’t end there. I reorder a cheeseburger from McDonald’s (via UberEats which I havent stated till now) but this time I’ve accidentally ordered it with no cheese and extra cheese at the same time.

“We spend the time waiting for the delivery debating on whether this thing is gonna have cheese on it. IT DOESN’T so now my [best friend’s girlfriend] has two slices of hot melted cheese in one box and a burger with just the meat and bun in another.

“I really shouldn’t have insisted on getting her that burger…”

The image of the order left people laughing after it was shared on Reddit, as one person commented to say: “Ok this is hilarious! Having worked in fast food I can only imagine the employees trying to figure what to make for you!”

A second wrote: “No cheese and extra cheese LOL.”

And another advised: “Swap the buns ? Then microwave BOOM you’re done.”
